maybe more so because we haven't had any this winter.

i don't need much, just a light dusting.

trawling through etsy vintage tonight:

thinking these belt buckles are quite fine, esp. that pair of foxes (or wolves...?)

also will happily take a pair of these boots, and these cinnamon oxfords.

incredibly, i actually bought myself a new pair of shoes today,

which i will share soon (once the light is a bit better for pics.)

oh that beautiful beach blanket brings back such fond memories of savary.
no sand or bbq'd burgers here just plenty of snow as seen here out on the deck.
it's really quite beautiful and a nice change from the california sunshine.

and i still loves me some brocade towelling. remember this beach blanket? patched together from a pile of thrift store finds, and used until it disintegrated.

we have been sick as dogs around here, all three of us consumed by a very nasty flu bug that won't go away.

i'm slowly trying to get back into the swing of things, trying to motivate myself to make some work, and my beloved josef frank is helping a lot. what a genius.

kind of nice to clean house, no? re-discover lost treasures, and cull cull cull.

IT'S OUR YEAR according to my very wise friend in new york who just sent me this the other day + i am sooo ready...goodbye ox year!

the best part is we don't have to pay attention to that crap hallmark holiday known as Valentines Day and instead celebrate chinese new year's with dumplings and other goodies as this year it falls on the same day, February 14th.

if i was to give a heart shaped something to you it would be one of these and a cd of the best break up songs but instead i will go to chinatown to find you a special something and put it in the via snail mail.

saw your alexander post at banquet so we need not say more. sadness.

i remember going to see this show at the moca a few years ago and when seeing his pieces up close thinking how amazing they were , the detail, craftmanship and construction.
really incredible as are these creations.

she just sent me this yesterday letting me know everybody can have a little creative growth either from their site or various stores, including Barney's.

nice to hear you are making your way back into polite society. sounded like you had a very lovely weekend.

i spent mine mostly in front of the computer updating Belle Heir although i did manage to get a hike in at my local, Griffith Park, to take in some fresh air and an amazing view of this fair city.

come late sunday afternoon it seemed all about the Superbowl and though i am not much of an american football fan i was very happy when the underdogs took it
and even happier when the spontaneous post game dance party started up.
forgot how much fun it is to let loose and dance.
yep.
dancing + drawing ...good stuff.
as are those string gardens and beautiful japanese textiles.

how's life in the olympic village? i hear there is not much snow but plenty of foreign accents.
