a california minute

hi doll.

i heart ada and you know how i just adore a little profanity...

did you watch the dead boring oscars?
except for the kings speech wins it was pretty bad and no fantastic frocks at all.

here's a little california minute for you...
the dramatic sky and lighting on my street the other day
followed by dinner up at BB's and a buddha's hand lemon from his tree.

brilliant no?

wish you were still here...

super duper

d

i have been wanting to see this suprasensorial show at the moca:
suprasensorial: experiments in light, color, and space, is the first museum exhibition to situate pioneering latin american artists among the international canon of those working with light and space ... the exhibition aims to illuminate the field by expanding the dialogue surrounding light-and-space practices in contemporary visual art beyond the california tradition of the late '60s and '70s, to include pivotal latin american impulses expressed more than a decade earlier.
even though the work is very different, it reminds me of the "immersion" practices of another latin american artist, namely neo-concretist lygia clark, whom i adore.
